Why We Can't Implement Budget By September –Presidency Dares Reps

The cold-war leading to a threat of impeachment handed down to President Goodluck Jonathan by the House of Reps may get worse as the Presidency said that it cannot achieve full budget implementation as demanded by House.

The Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala said this in Abuja on Wednesday.

Briefing State House Correspondents at the end of the federal executive council meeting chaired, the minister said the implementation of the 2012 budget has reached 56% from 39% as at the end of May. She said the 56% represents 324 billion naira of the 404 billion released so far.
