Subsidy "Thieves" Are Government Sponsors –Pastor Bakare

The presiding overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has said that his message against perverse and corrupt leaders has not changed and that he would not tone down his message despite his being grilled by the State Security Service, SSS, on the matter.

“Whenever you ask the prophet to tone down his message, his God will respond on his behalf. The answer to tone down is tone up.
“In the days of President Olusegun Obasanjo, the message that shook the nation was titled “No more walls” preached on March 7, 1999. Today the message is stronger and bolder,” he said

The convener of the Save Nigerian Group, SNG, said those who are in the helm of affairs of the nation are set of deceitful and insincere leaders who lacked the wisdom and political will to do what is right.

“My message has not changed since the days of the military. A corrupt, perverse, wasteful, directionless and clueless government is offensive to me and should be offensive to every intelligent patriot in this nation.

“The messages I preach are only biased in favour of righteousness, justice and truth. To this, I plead guilty because there is nothing anyone can do against truth, but for the truth.

“If I am being asked to tone down my message because of perceived partisanship, those asking me to do so have only succeeded in precipitating a tone up and examples abound in scriptures which I encourage our security service agents and men of the armed forces and the police to read and meditate on in the pursuit of their lawful duties,” he added.

Bakare also said that the recent arraignment of those involved in the oil subsidy scandal was a mere charade, stressing that the brains behind the scam were those who sponsored the election of President Goodluck Jonathan and top members of his cabinet.

The cleric, who spoke on Sunday while delivering the second part of his sermon in his church tagged, “How to change government peacefully and make society better”, said that what is going on in the arraignment of the subsidy "thieves" was a mere window dressing.

“The shenanigans and the charade going on in respect of the subsidy thieves, in my considered opinion are that the efforts of this government cannot deliver justice, neither are they meant to.”

Bakare also berated the wife of the President for her activities. “Can you imagine that as the nation is burning, Dame Patience Jonathan, the First Lady, is busy pursuing and obtaining the status of an absentee Permanent Secretary? Does this make any intelligent sense except to political morons and imbeciles?”

The cleric warned the security agencies to re-channel their energies towards doing their primary assignment of maintaining peace and providing security for Nigerians instead of arresting people for saying the truth, adding that “Otherwise they are going to see the wrath of God".

At Last, Pastor Okotie's Ex-Wife Secrets Exposed!

Stephanie Adie Henshaw, Unknown to many except close friends, has never been married before Reverend Chris Okotie in the true sense of the word. The mother of three children from two men has rather been a victim of abuse and ill-luck with a chequered history of marital woes that ended up breaking into pieces her fragile heart.

Stephanie’s first love before Okotie came into the picture was a young man she met through a friend in Lagos. With no intention of marriage, being quite young then, the innocent Calabar girl, unfortunately got pregnant for the man.
She was still carrying his baby when he was shot to death in Surulere, Lagos. The tragic death of Stephanie’s hat would happen to her years after.

"The pain they inflicted on Stephanie after the death of the father of her fisrt child was unbearable. One day, she was invited by the man’s people to know how the child was faring. And before she knew what was happening, they took custody of the child. She never set eyes on the boy until two, three years ago," a highly reliable source told ENCOMIUM Weekly.

We further learnt that Stepahnie’s son was taken to England where he schooled before returning to the country. He has since reunited with his mom.

Stephanie Henshaw’s affair with one businessman, Mazi Okechukwu (Okey) was totally built on deceit which was not initially to the knowledge of the ravishingly beautiful lady.

"Stephanie didn’t know that Okey was a fraud. Okey told her he was not married. He was building a house back then in Omole Estate. Okey had rented a house for Stephanie in Ikeja, Lagos. And each time he sneaked out to see his first wife and children, he would say he had gone to see his mother. The day she found out the truth, she literally fainted,"our source revealed.

It was in-between this affair that produced two sons that Rev. Okotie, who had been admiring Stephanie from a distance started walking into her life.

ENCOMIUM Weekly learnt she was naturally pissed off with the Igbo businessman and literally needed a man she could call hers. From what we were told, Okotie staked his reputation, and risked his life to have Stephanie.

“He really loved Stephanie. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for her. Okotie had cause to jump a fence for the sake of this love. Of course, you already know, he was attacked physically on several occasions all for Stephanie.

"It was this same Okey that smashed Okotie’s windscreen and all that. He, however, had to give up when it was obvious that Stephanie was no longer interested in the relationship. After all, there was no marriage to be dissolved, since there was none in the first place".

A born again Christian for almost 20 years, we were informed that Stephanie has always known God despite her marital woes.

Black Couple Decides To Remarry 50 Years After Divorce

Like a story out of a bestseller, Lena Henderson and Roland Davis are set to remarry, 50 years after they divorced. The Buffalo News reports that the New York couple married as teenagers and were together for 20 years before they divorced in 1964 after four children together.

The couple met in Chattanooga, Tennessee back when they were teens. One of those children – their oldest daughter, Johnnie Mae Funderbirk – is a big reason they’re back together.

Funderbirk encouraged her father to move from Colorado back to New York after his second wife died a few months ago, where she hoped he would reconnect with her mother.

The couple never lost touch during their 50 years apart, frequently talking on the phone (Henderson had even counselled Davis’ then wife on how to deal with him).

Davis popped the question – again – to Henderson over the phone after deciding to move back to New York. She said “yes,” and he soon flew to Buffalo with the engagement ring pinned to his shirt out of fear of losing it during the flight.

Davis and Henderson will tie the knot again on Saturday, August 4 at a church in Seneca.

However, the jury is still out on whether or not remarrying a spouse is a good idea.

Bank driver arrested with 19 ATM cards, N652,000

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested one sharp guy Dare Oladujoye, a driver with Zenith Bank, for allegedly being in possession of 19 Guaranty Trust Bank ATM cards and the sum of N652, 000.
Report said that the suspect was using the cards to withdraw money from an ATM at Ogba branch of GTB when a
security guard raised the alarm.
The Commissioner of Police for the state police command, Mr. Umar Manko, said as of the time of his arrest, the suspect had withdrawn N652, 000 from the ATM.
The suspect when arrested however denied stealing the ATM cards, instead he said whenever he lent people money, he would collect their ATM cards as collateral and return them after payment.

Children in prison as mother’s sin passes onto the child

IT is a heart-rending story. Many female prisoners now have the misfortune of raising their children in the midst of hardened criminals, accused prostitutes, persons on death row and others jailed for various felonies. And the children are innocent.
Some of the female prisoners at the Kirikiri Female Prisons, Kirikiri, Apapa, Lagos, the only specialised facility for women in the country, want the
government to save children born behind bars.
In a three-month long investigation of the ordeal of women who went into prisons with pregnancy or became pregnant while serving their terms, The Guardian learnt shocking truth about being born in the “manger”.
Psychologists and medical doctors say that babies raised by mothers behind bars will constantly find it hard to live normal lives.
Two female convicts who are serving six-month sentences each for child abuse with an 11-month-old and nine-month-old babies each at Kirikiri, appealed to the government to consider alternate forms of punishment for those involved in cases that can be considered as “medium or minimum degree” offenses while nursing. They claim that the prisons are not equipped to handle babies and so women with babies should be pardoned or punished in a different way.
On the other hand, the mother of the 11-month-old places more emphasis on the psychological ramifications of a mother and child in prison. “When the government knows that the prisons is ill-equipped to handle children, why should they imprison us together? Have they never heard of community service? If we are to tell the truth, does this demeaning experience reform or harden us the more?”
A lawyer, Mrs. Bisi Ajayi-Kayode who has been reaching out to women prisoners and done some studies on their situation subscribed to the two women’s argument.
Mrs. Amoiho Isi, who was once in prison for three months on a case of mistaken identity and now runs an NGO that specialises on prisoners, says: “From experience, I know that virtually everything is poor in the prisons - the food, treatment from wardens, welfare, name it.”
Paediatrician, Dr. Yemi Gbenro, says that the harsh, punitive environment of prisons can permanently damage the psychological and mental wellbeing of children. “This is why you find children in this category having consistently recurring cases of psychological problems including depression, aggressive behaviour, regression, sleeping problems, eating problems, running away, truancy, poor school grades and delinquency.”
But the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Nigeria Prisons Service, Chuks Njoku, disagrees that Nigerian Prisons is worse than others in the world.
On medical care for pregnant women, nursing mothers and infants in prisons, he disagrees with the claims of the inmates. Njoku says that the prisons system has several doctors in its employment who draw up a dietary chart for pregnant women and nursing mothers and this is what they are fed.

Land: Turai Yar’adua rejects new land offers

The tussle between first lady, Patience Jonathan, and her predecessor, Turai Yar’adua, over a piece of land located in the Central Business District of Abuja, may be far from over.
An insider said the former first lady has
rejected an offer of a new plot in exchange for the contentious property at a meeting that deliberated the proposal on Monday.
Sources had said the former first lady was being offered any other plot of her choice within the Central Business District, as a replacement for the contentious land earlier awarded to Yar’Adua’s Women and Youth Empowerment Foundation (WAYEF), but revoked and given to Jonathan’s African First Ladies’ Peace Mission.
One of the lawyers to WAYEF, Innocent Lagi, confirmed a consensus had not yet been reached; adding that the plots put before Yar’adua were not acceptable. “I can confirm to you that our demands have not been met yet,” he said.
Yar’adua had filed a suit an Abuja High Court challenging the withdrawal, and both sides told the court last Tuesday the matter will be settled out of court.

2yrs old boy drowns while his father watched the Olympics

A two-year-old boy has drowned after falling in a canal on Saturday while his father watched the
Olympics on TV. Jehovah Pembele wandered off while playing with other children outside his
home in
Northampton.
He was found 100 yards away in the Grand Union Canal. Desperate attempts to revive him failed and he died in hospital the next day.
His father Fernando had left Jehovah, who was also known by the nickname Giovani, playing happily with friends while he watched the ladies Olympic football match between Great Britain and Cameroon.
A neighbour, who didn't wish to be named, revealed: 'Fernando wanted a drink from his home, so he came out of his neighbour's and went back into his own home. At that point, Giovani was playing happily in the street on his bike.'
Five minutes later, the father returned and discovered he was missing.
The neighbour added: 'The bicycle was on the pavement, but there was no sign of Giovani.
'He asked his neighbour if the boy had gone into the house and they looked everywhere inside, upstairs and downstairs.'
Neighbours then joined in the search and the police were called at 6pm.
A search of the canal was conducted and police found the toddler, still dressed in his summer top and shorts, 30 minutes later.
Officers administered CPR at the scene before paramedics arrived.

The child was taken to Northampton General Hospital and later transferred to Glenfield Hospital in Leicester.
Effort to revive him continued throughout the evening and into the early hours, but he was pronounced dead at 3.25am.

Giovani was the youngest of four children. He had two older sisters aged around 4 and 10, as well as an older brother, though to be aged around 6.

The family’s home is close to the Grand Union Canal and it is thought that little Giovani wandered to the bank between two blocks of flats, where he then toppled into the water.
A force spokeswoman said they are not treating the death as suspicious.

“Convert to christianity or die poor,” Bishop Oyedepo tells Muslim sister

Bishop David Oyedepo
The presiding bishop and founder of the Living Faith Christian Church International, better known as Winners’ Chapel, Bishop David Eniola Oyedepo is not new to controversy.
Though he seems like a man that can tolerate others, it is surprising that the man cannot hide his disdain for the Islamic religion which was evident when little Abdul-Gafar Ayomide Salami, a young Nigerian student seeking admission to Oyedepo church owned Covenant University was denied admission despite having all required qualifications, just because he is a Muslim.
If what he did to little Abdul-Gafar is thought to be anything serious, his disposition towards his half-sister, Alhaja Saratu Bello who refuses to become a Christian after every method implored by Oyedepo to convert her failed. He swore not to have anything .to do with her until she changes her religion to Christianity. The sister in question is being treated like the black sheep of the family and the bishop has forbidden everybody from helping her.
The sister who lives in Iyana-Ipaja area of Lagos is living in abject poverty and finds it difficult to feed while her other siblings are living in affluence. Those who know her doubt her story of being related to the man who can be said to be the richest pastor in Africa.
The man of God who is the surviving one of a set of twins after a prolonged delay in having a fruit of the womb by the late mother was born into a Muslim family of Pa Oyedepo in Omu-Aran. David Oyedepo was instrumental in the conversion of his father to becoming a Christian, a thing the father agreed to when he was very old after which he was baptized by his own son before death.

Inside Al-Mustapha’s Prison Notes: “I would’ve gunned down Abdulsalami”

Al-Mustapha
“My Boss, General Sani Muhammad Abacha, died at the early hours of Monday, 8th June, 1998. I had prepared him for a workshop organized by the Federal Ministry of Information for that day as he was expected to deliver an address as the Special Guest of Honour. His speech was drafted and fine tuned by the Chief Press Secretary, Chief David Attah who had submitted it to the Aide-De Camp for vetting and necessary amendments by the Commander-in-Chief. When I got to the bedside of the Head of State, he was already gasping. Ordinarily, I could not just touch him. It was not allowed in our job. But under the situation on ground, I knelt close to him and shouted, “General Sani Abacha, Sir, please grant me permission to touch and carry you.”
“Contrary to insinuations, speculations and sad rumours initiated by some sections of the society, I maintain that the sudden collapse of the health system of the late Head of State started previous day (Sunday, 7th June, 1998) right from the Abuja International Airport immediately after one of the white security operatives or personnel who accompanied President Yasser Arafat of Palestine shook hands with him (General Abacha) I had noticed the change in the countenance of the late Commander-in-Chief and informed the Aide-de-Camp, Lt. Col. Abdallah, accordingly. He, however, advised that we keep a close watch on the Head of State. Later in the evening of 8th June, 1998, around 6p.m; his doctor came around, administered an injection to stabilize him. He was advised to have a short rest. Happily, enough, by 9p.m; the Head of State was bouncing and receiving visitors until much later when General Jeremiah Timbut Useni, the then Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, came calling. He was fond of the Head of State. They were very good friends. They stayed and chatted together till about 3.35a.m. A friend of the house was with me in my office and as he was bidding me farewell, he came back to inform me that the FCT Minister, General Useni was out of the Head of State’s Guest House within the Villa.”
“I then decided to inform the ADC and other security boys that I would be on my way home to prepare for the early morning event at the International Conference Centre. At about 5a.m; the security guards ran to my quarters to inform me that the Head of State was very unstable. At first, I thought it was a coup attempt. Immediately, I prepared myself fully for any eventuality. As an intelligence officer and the Chief Security Officer to the Head of State for that matter, I devised a means of diverting the attention of the security boys from my escape route by asking my wife to continue chatting with them at the door – she was in the house while the boys were outside. From there, I got to the Guest House of the Head of State before them. When I got to the bedside of the Head of State, he was already gasping. Ordinarily, I could not just touch him. It was not allowed in our job. But under the situation on ground, I knelt close to him and shouted, “General Sani Abacha, Sir, please grant me permission to touch and carry you.” I again knocked at the stool beside the bed and shouted in the same manner, yet he did not respond. I then realized there was a serious danger. I immediately called the Head of State’s personal physician, Dr. Wali, who arrived the place under eight minutes from his house. He immediately gave Oga – General Abacha – two doses of injection, one at the heart and another close to his neck.”
“This did not work apparently as the Head of State had turned very cold. He then told me that the Head of State was dead and nothing could be done after all. I there and then asked the personal physician to remain with the dead body while I dashed home to be fully prepared for the problems that might arise from the incident. As soon as I informed my wife, she collapsed and burst into tears. I secured my house and then ran back. At that point, the Aide-de-Camp had been contacted by me and we decided that great caution must be taken in handling the grave situation. Again, I must reiterate that the issue of my Boss dying on top of women was a great lie just as the insinuation that General Sani Abacha ate and died of poisoned apples was equally a wicked lie.
My question is: did Chief M.K.O Abiola die of poisoned apples or did he die on top of women? As I had stated at the Oputa Panel, their deaths were organized. Pure and simple!
It was at this point that I used our special communication gadgets to diplomatically invite the Service Chiefs, Military Governors and some few elements purportedly to a meeting with the Head of State by 9a.m. at the Council Chamber. That completed, I also decided to talk to some former leaders of the nation to inform them that General Sani Abacha would like to meet them by 9a.m. Situation became charged however, when one of the Service Chiefs, Lieutenant General Ishaya Rizi Bamaiyi, who pretended to be with us, suggested he be made the new Head of State after we had quietly informed him of the death of General Sani Abacha. He even suggested we should allow him access to Chief Abiola. We smelt a rat and other heads of security agencies, on hearing this, advised I move Chief Abiola to a safer destination.”
“I managed to do this in spite of the fact that I had been terribly overwhelmed with the crisis at hand. But then, when some junior officers over-heard the suggestion of one of the Service Chiefs earlier mentioned, it was suggested to me that we should finish all the members of the Provisional Ruling Council and give the general public an excuse that there was a meeting of the PRC during which a shoot-out occurred between some members of the Provisional Ruling Council and the Body Guards to the Head of State When I sensed that we would be contending with far more delicate issues than the one on ground, I talked to Generals Buba Marwa and Ibrahim Sabo who both promptly advised us – the junior officers – against any bloodshed. They advised we contact General Ibrahim Babangida (former Military President) who equally advised against any bloodshed but that we should support the most senior officer in the Provisional Ruling Council (PRC) to be the new Head of State. Since the words of our elders are words of wisdom, we agreed to support General Jeremiah Useni. Along the line, General Bamaiyi lampooned me saying, “Can’t you put two and two together to be four? Has it not occurred to you that General Useni who was the last man with the Head of State might have poisoned him, knowing full well that he was the most senior officer in the PRC?”
“Naturally, I became furious with General Useni since General Abacha’s family had earlier on complained severally about the closeness of the two Generals; at that, a decision was taken to storm General Useni’s house with almost a battalion of soldiers to effect his arrest. Again, some heads of security units and agencies, including my wife, advised against the move. The next most senior person and officer in government was General Abdulsalami Abubakar, who was then the Chief of Defence Staff. We rejected the other Service Chief, who, we believed, was too ambitious and destructive. We settled for General Abubakar and about six of us called him inside a room in the Head of State’s residence to break the news of the death of General Abacha to him. As a General with vast experience, Abdulsalami Abubakar, humbly requested to see and pray for the soul of General Abacha which we allowed. Do we consider this a mistake? Because right there, he – Abubakar – went and sat on the seat of the late Head of State. Again, I was very furious. Like I said at the Oputa Panel, if caution was not applied, I would have gunned him down. The revolution the boys were yearning for would have started right there. The assumption that we could not have succeeded in the revolution was a blatant lie. We were in full control of the State House and the Brigade of Guards. We had loyal troops in Keffi and in some other areas surrounding the seat of government – Abuja. But I allowed peace to reign because we believed it would create further crises in the country.”
“We followed the advice of General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida and the wise counsel of some loyal senior officers and jointly agreed that General Abdulsalami Abubakar be installed Head of State, Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces immediately after the burial of General Sani Abacha in Kano. It is an irony of history that the same Service Chief who wanted to be Head of State through bloodshed, later instigated the new members of the Provisional Ruling Council against us and branded us killers, termites and all sorts of hopeless names. They planned, arranged our arrest, intimidation and subsequent jungle trial in 1998 and 1999. These, of course, led to our terrible condition in several prisons and places of confinement.”

Tension in Ogun as Muslims, traditionalists clash

There was palpable tension in Ikenne,Ogun State, yesterday, when the Oro cult imposed a 24-hour restriction of movement in the town in defiance of an order by Ogun State government.
The flagrant defiance occurred few hours after some Islamic leaders in the town were attacked by Oro cultists for
reporting them to government over the planned restriction of movement.
Muslims in the area had petitioned the state government and other stakeholders in the state which led to a peace meeting held on Wednesday at the instance of the state governent.
At the end of the meeting, government ordered the Oro cult group in Ikenne to restrict their activities of their on-going annual festival to their own section of the town.
It further ordered the deployment of policemen in the town to enforce the order, but, when Sunday Vanguard visited the town yesterday, neither policemen nor any other security operatives were seen.
The whole town was deserted as doors and windows of houses in the town were firmly shut.
There was also no human and vehicular movement in the town except the adherents of the Oro cult group that were seen in some parts of the town dressed like females.
By tradition,it is forbiden for women to behold the Oro cult members while on procession.
It was gathered that several residents of the town who did not want to be caught up in the no-movement order imposed by the Oro cult group left the town on Friday for neighbouring communities.
In his reaction, the Chairman of Ikenne local government, Mr Tajudeen Salako, said the action of the group should not be seen as a defiance of the state government order.
He however appealed to the people of Ikenne to endure the restriction imposed by the Oro cult in the town.
When asked to comment on the attack on Muslims, Salako said he was aware that Oro cultists threatened Muslims, adding that it had been reported to the police.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Ogun State, Muyiwa Adejobi, however, said that the police were monitoring the situation in the town.

Must Read: Double jeopardy for Ursula!

*Ursula Nwachukwu
IMAGINE a life of uncertainty. Imagine a death sentence hanging over your head. Imagine knowing that help is next door but you cannot access it simply because you don’t have the means? These aptly explain the predicament of 27 – year- old Ursula Nwachukwu, who is battling with a potentially fatal disorder described as End Stage Kidney Failure in medical parlance.
Ursula’s two kidneys have packed up. Her condition is compounded by uterine fibroid – another life-threatening ailment.
A first glance gives the false impression that she is in the last trimester of pregnancy. Alas! She is not.
She is in
double jeopardy. Both conditions are usually a one-way ticket to death if not urgently addressed.
She bloats up in size day by day, but, deadly as her condition is, doctors are hopeful that there is a reprieve. With  N2.7 million, Ursula will be on her feet again.
Before now, the young woman was full of expectations. A graduate of accountancy from  University of Lagos, UNILAG, she was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease in January 2011, while awaiting her call-up for the National Youth Corps (NYSC). More pathetic is the fact that she was unable to make it to the NYSC camp. Ill health denied her that pleasure.
For Ursula and her guardian, Theodore Akojuru, life has not been easy since her diagnosis. Her life has been full of pain and anguish.
Akojuri, Ursula’s brother in-law, noted that since the diagnosis, she has been in and out of hospital seeking cure. The illness has taken her to Imo State where she undergoes dialysis twice/thrice weekly at Urlu Specialist Hospital. Information has it that her renal transplant would be done locally at the Specialist Hospital.
The hospital was recently upgraded and equipped with modern facilities by Governor Rochas Okorocha.
Akojuri is confident his in-law can be well attended to at the hospital, but is worried  the chronic level of poverty in the land is denying millions of people from accessing quality and  affordable treatment.
“Of late, she became very ill, we have been taking her from hospital to hospital. In January last year, after series of tests, she was discovered to have kidney failure. So she started dialysis. At first, my family and my wife’s family picked the bill, while we made plans to get the bulk money for her operation. But when the burden became  unbearable, we started looking for funds from individuals and organizations.
Medical examinations carried out by a consultant radiologist, Dr. C. U Ibekwe, indicated that Ursula’s two kidneys show grade three  renal disease and that there is free intraperitoneal fluid. It also indicated CRF with different kidney sizes, renal artery stenosis and urine fibroid.
Continuing, Akojuri  recalled his experience with an Imo Foundation allegedly set up by Governor Rochas Okorocha to cater for the needs of the less privileged. He said: “In our search for help, we took her to Imo Foundation. When we got there, she was number 30 on the list of people seeking help for kidney transplant. There, things are done the normal way and people are attended on first come, first served basis. We know that is how it should be, but because she is in a critical condition, we cannot let her wait her turn.
“This is a matter of life and death. This is why we decided to come to talk to the media. We want Nigerians at home and abroad to come to Ursula’s aid. She is to undergo two surgeries and we need help from everyone in any way possible to carry out these operations on her.
“Help us please. We don’t want anything to happen to Ursula. So, we are calling on individuals and all health foundations to come to our aid.
We gathered that the MTN Foundation has been doing a lot in this regard, and we are reaching out to the company for assistance.” If you are touched by Ursula’s story please send your donations to Mr. Theodore Akojuri, Diamond Acct. no. 002 605 4857 or call him on 08120094947.

The 26 year old singer yesterday Tweeted this extremely of herself sitting in an armchair. Over time she has been known to be a media friendly celeb with a lot of displays similar to this very one and it leaves a lot of people with that confusion of why someone with these many talents (Singer, Songwriter etc), would go ahead to draw more attention when her talents are good enough to draw all the talents she wants.

Wickedness: Woman arrested for stabbing son, as Man arrested for raping six year old girl

An 11 year old Nigerian boy is battling to live at a Kano hospital after being stabbed by her mother, Joy Akule, 28, who was depressed after separating with the father of the teenager.
The lady who hails from Katsina-Ala in Benue state told journalists at Kano state Police headquarters that she transferred the aggression she had for her ex-husband to the innocent child.
“I wanted to kill him to bury the
memory of his father because each time I see him, he reminds me of his father’s wickedness to me,” she said.
According to the state Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim K. Idris, Joy on 21 July at Sabuwar Abuja Quarters, Kano, northwest Nigeria used a knife and stabbed her son on his stomach, bursting the intestines.

The boss who raised alarm over the spate of rape involving teenagers in the state said his Command has resolved to ensure prosecution of rapists in the state and advised parents to keep watchful eyes on their children.
He revealed that on 17 July, Abubakar Ya’u, 20, of Jama’ar Ladan in Minjibir Local Government Area lured a six year old girl into his room and raped her.
Also, on 15 July, Ismaila Jibrin, 48, of Rimin Kebe Quarters lured a 4 year old girl into his room and had carnal knowledge of her.

Must Read: I lost my virginity at 7 – 12-year-old orphan impregnated by cleric

This is a very sad story...We hope the right organization will read and investigate this so that justice will be done.

At an age when  most of her mates are in primary school, a  12-year-old girl, Monsurat ( surname withheld) has been put in the family way by a 43-year-old muslim cleric in Lagos. But the man at the centre of the scandal has denied  the young girl’s allegation, pleading  a frame-up by some of his unfriendly co-tenants at their No. 411, Bomu Sabo residence.

Young Monsurat,  an orphan, was allegedly impregnated by an Alfa (names withheld) who she said, often lured her into his shop for
sexual escapades that started about one year ago. The girl  who became an orphan at a tender age told Sunday Sun that although she lost her virginity when she was seven years old  by another man,  she was sure that the  Alfa is the father of  her unborn baby.

She said that the illicit sexual affair with the man who enticed her with money  and shelter when she had no place to sleep, started when she was 10 years old.   “He  lives inside our compound. One day, he just said I should come to his shop and I went there. He told me since that I didn’t have, shelter,  I should be sleeping inside his shop pending when I would be able to secure a place.

“Whenever I was sleeping in the night on the pavement, he would come around 2 am and wake me up to follow him to his shop and have sex with him.  Many people  in this place are aware of it. The first time he forced his private part into me,  he said I shouldn’t scream.  He told me, I shouldn’t tell anybody but people have been seeing us.

“When people tried to advise me,  he said I should not  listen to them. He started having sex with me since I was 10-years old.   He  told me that if I start having sex with him he would give me money and he lured me into the corner and started touching my breasts. I wasn`t  happy about it and I told him to use condom, but he refused  and he warned me not to tell anybody.

“ He warned that if I tell anybody,  he would use juju on me because they said he is from Ijebu. He was  giving me money, but he stopped since I got pregnant for him.”  The girl told Sunday Sun that she was in Primary Five when she realized that she was about two months pregnant  adding that this was later confirmed by  other tenants due to her  incessant “morning sickness”.  She said that the  last time she had it with the Alfa who runs an ice block business was in April this year.

“When he slept with me last was during Easter this year,  and since then,  I haven’t seen  my menstrual  period.  I  told some neighbors that I have seen my period and later,  I started having morning sickness. They used something to test my blood and it was confirmed that  I am pregnant. They asked me who slept with me and I told them it is Alfa, but he denied that he slept with me.  “He had been sleeping with me before I started seeing my period as a girl. When I became pregnant, I told him that I have not seen my period but he said he was not responsible for the pregnancy; everybody is aware that he did it,” she said.

On how she lost her virginity, the girl told Sunday Sun that she was raped by a co-tenant  in their family house at that tender age. “I was in our family house in Egbeda when the man sent me to buy food for him. When I came  back with the food, he started touching  me and warned that if I screamed or talked I would die.  Later, he pulled my underwear and put his thing on my private part and I screamed.

“After that, blood came out from my private part and some tenants  brought me out from his room and  I was  rushed  to the hospital for treatment. The man was arrested by  the police but he later disappeared from our street and I have never set my eyes on him since then. It is Alfa who continued having sex with me and got me pregnant.”

But when Sunday Sun took the matter up with the Alfa (names withheld) at his shop located near the compound, he denied having carnal knowledge of the girl.  Instead, he regretted that his assistance to the orphan has made him a topic for street gossip and undeserved accusation.

“She is more or less like a landlord in this house. I started assisting her like my daughter because other tenants wanted to drive her away from the compound due to her bad attitude of stealing people’s  things. But I intervened as a father by offering her little help because her parents are dead. I sent her back to where she was learning hairdressing because the people had thrown her out for not keeping to the terms of her apprenticeship.

“Also,  I made sure I took care of her feeding. I did all these to give her a secure future  but in the process, she just disappeared one day.  After some weeks,  she surfaced and when I questioned her, she didn’t give any convincing reason for leaving the place. It was at that point,  that I heard that she is pregnant”, he said.

The father of three said he had no hand in the girl’s pregnancy.   “I am not responsible for this pregnancy. I am a married man with three kids, about the same age with her. I never had any carnal knowledge of her. There is nothing like that;  I am innocent. Her immediate sister who happens to live outside the compound came and said we are going to have a blood test and I  have agreed. I can see that the assistance  I rendered to her has landed me in trouble.
“For me, I don’t see it as a problem. I see it as a challenge because I am happy that a lot of people are coming out to say that she is their daughter and caring for her”, he said.   The man accused, “ neighbors in the compound who don’t want my progress”,  of  persuading the girl to say  that  he got her pregnant.

A reliable source who pleaded anonymity told Sunday Sun that the police have done nothing about the abominable act partly because the girl’s relatives have not taken the matter  seriously.  Besides, there is the fear that the randy cleric has voodoo powers and could harm anyone that dares to challenge him.

“The problem is that her parents are dead and sometimes she sleeps with some tenants because she doesn’t have a home.  The man now exploited the opportunity to sleep with her.  The relatives are not serious about the case. Everybody in that place is afraid of him because he is a voodoo man. He boasted that nobody can do anything about that because he is an Alfa”, the source said.  When contacted, a senior Police officer at the Sabo, Yaba  Police station told Sunday Sun that they were not aware of the case.

The wife of the president of the United States- ’s visit with members of Team USA left them inspired, but one gave her a lift.
Elena Pirozhkova, the 5-foot-5 , picked up the 5-foot-11 first lady.
“I hugged her, and then I asked her if I could pick her up. I think she was nervous. I went slow. I just picked her up. I wanted to ask her permission. There was security all around. And she gave it. I will only meet her once. I wanted to do something different.”

Flash Back: How To Maintain And Control A Nigerian Woman

I used to be like many of the whiners here on Nairaland, “Oh I'm so in love with this babe but she's treating me badly, what do I do? what do I do?”. That was a long time ago and now I am wise and believe me I learnt from the school of hard knocks, this women dealt with me mercilessly until I actually sat down to analyze them and their ways and figured out the language they speak. If you think maintaining a woman is about excess love, showing affection, kindness, forgiveness, religion and all that bullsh*t, you're dead wrong, treat a woman too good, she will find an excuse to leave ( “I was once dumped by a chick who later told her friend, I was 'too nice'.”). But they will stay with an “omo rapala” that mistreats them day after day after day.

Even fellowship girls are still tempted by young men of the world and leave their fellow fellowship brothers to look for bad boys to convert. They are never satisfied with a squeaky clean good man. To them every guy that is too good is a nuisance. Even the ones that are married have only calmed down and become good in order to trap a husband that
offers them security or at least a husband that has managed to figure out their buttons. Be wise, young men, be wise.

Maintaining women of all shapes ages and sizes is all about control and remaining in control. The moment you lose control, you lose yourself and a woman will ride you till the very end. Some people say all sorts of rubbish, “Oh my woman is not like that, she's different”, all that one na story, Eve betrayed Adam, Delilah betrayed Samson, so who on earth is your woman that she won't act like those that came before her?

There are different levels of control, there is no control, artificial control and true control. No control is the default situation most guys fall into. They love a woman and believe everything she says in the heat of passion ”I'll never ever leave you”, “I can't wait to marry you” etc etc, and deceive themselves into overconfidence and over love. A no control guy does not know how to tell his babe no and is always apologizing even when it is not his fault. When they start exhibiting too much attention and love, the chick gets bored and starts looking for “rude boys” somewhere. Then her mind starts wavering and she starts telling you “I need space”, “I'm confused”. When you hear these words you're in trouble.

Unfortunately most young guy today no dey hear word and they will start reminiscing about the sweet nothings the babe told them when the going was good and continue to misbehave and show over love and over affection. Meanwhile one bad guy fit dey comb the babe for corner somewhere. In the end the chick leaves and the guy is in a wreck, crying, complaining to his friends begging etc and at that point the girl no go wan hear again, anything you're saying is a waste of time. A chick will bring up some of the dumbest excuses when she wants to dump you. She might regret leaving you later but all that one na Tales By Moonlight what matters is the wrecked condition she will leave you in at that moment.

The next level of control is artificial control. Artificial control works a lot in Nigeria today, and people exercise this level of control primarily by having money. This is what the so called big boys and sugar daddies use to maintain their babes. Some poor guys starving on their pocket money and University allowances even try to maintain this level of control to their own downfall. With artificial control a girl might screw around but will not really leave you until she finds another guy with better control than you. The best way to use artificial control is ruthlessly, if you have money and control them with money make sure you take no crap from them or else they will turn you to a MUGU and you fall into the no control category even though you have money.

Remember money is relative. Some guy has more than you somewhere. Some guys exercise artificial control through other means as well, such as being older, being in a bigger office, better school, living in a bigger house etc. Until the chick meets someone with better control she will not leave but always remember you are in control and use it to your advantage. Don't boast about it though as they really hate it when you point out that the reason they are with you is because of artificial control ( even though we know its true). All those threads written by sacked bankers on Nairaland who have lost their babes are a result of the artificial control category. Control go, babe go.

Guys without money should remember this ( University boys open your eyes) the moment you start spending to maintain control, you will never stop and this is a problem when you do not have money so students, graduate trainees and people without money should avoid money artificial control as much as possible. You will only wreck yourself financially, because they will only get greedier and you will find out you cannot keep up and she will use the money you have used to better her looks, wardrobe and her life to find a replacement for you. They always want to upgrade. If you have money to spend it is okay to use artificial control just make sure you do it in a responsible way, not in a way chicks will use “MUGU” to replace your name on their phones.

The last control category is true control. Maintain this level of control and you are the true guru. You are the Don Juan, the guy women trip and fall down for regardless of whether or whether not. The true control man is in control of EVERYTHING. He will not chase a babe he cannot control or who he knows will want to lord over him. Before he spends his money on a woman he makes sure that she knows who is in control and spends his money sparingly, in fact she might spend more than him. If she tells him she is in her male corpers friends house sleeping because she does not have light he laughs and tells her “I hope he knows how to screw well, I know you're probably lonely”. It might pain him inside but you will never see it, because he knows that if she finds out he is jealous he is finished, if she feels he is not jealous, she will correct herself and find call him 20 times a day to make sure he truly loves her.

The guy who shouts at his babe and tells her what sort of nonsense is that ( why should she sleep in Mr Corper-With-Generator's house) is maintaining artificial control, she will tell him she won't do it again and do it the next day and for the next 10 months, and get combed mercilessly by Mr. Corper-With-Generator and his colleagues. It takes 10 minutes for a quickie and that place does not have a gauge you will use to measure who did and did not do when she comes back. Artificial control men and no control men should take note.

In fact most of the accomplished true control guys have barricaded their hearts a long time ago. They show affection strategically and when a chick leasts expects it. They are not always complete bast@rds, they will send flowers and call a babe to check on how she is doing but they do it strategically and sparingly. Too much of ice cream and chocolate is not good. Too much visiting of woman is not good. Calling her more than she calls you is an equally silly idea. If she calls twice call once. What bothers other guys does not bother men of true control. Even if they love a chick they will never show it more than the chick shows it. They say I love you three times a year. This sort of guy might love a chick but still screw one or two around to ensure that he remains in control of his senses.

Sex is sex, love is a different kettle of fish. Sex helps you keep things in perspective. Screw one woman too much, you might become silly and lose control. Fidelity is over rated my brothers, you can love a woman but don't confuse it with being faithful. If she suspects you are screwing outside, thats okay for them, just make sure you're never caught and she only suspects, suspicion is good, it keeps her on her feet, she knows she can be replaced. When she sees that text message on your phone, tell her “you are the only one for me “ and buy enough “ chocolate and flowers” and then leave her to think. But NEVER keep two chicks, you should have one chick and the occasional ones you are chopping outside to maintain perspective and self-control, that way you won't create unnecessary problems for yourself. If you are not on the financial capability of Atiku Abubakar, polygamy is a bad idea. If you can retain control without screwing outside, fine for you. But the day your woman is caught screwing outside, you will feel seriously cuckolded and feel like a fool.

A true control guy will NEVER date a woman he cannot control. A woman who does not respect you is one you have no control over, these women do not understand equality, look at the divorce rate in America ! A true control guy has ALL control but he never uses money to control too much. He never makes it about money or how much he has. Most true control guys have more money than the women they control, other much more skilled true control guys may have less money but always make sure that she knows who is boss. Because once you let a women who's money is longer than yours gain control, you are finished. A true control guy also has koboko control ( meaning he knows how to give it to her in bed, if you do not know better learn by hiring a skilled Pay As You Go or else she will leave you for the first Mr. Magic Stick). In fact koboko control is way better than money control. Look at Kimora Lee Simmons and Djimon Honsou, you go no say na koboko dey at work, no be by fine face or too much money. ( No offense to Russel Simmons but he had artificial control).

A true control guy also has fashion control, he knows how to dress and be neat ( it might not be the most expensive stuff he wears but he looks smart and neat always, he has fashion sense). A true control guy also knows how to tell his babe no and stick to his no. They rarely say “I'm sorry” and always make a chick laugh or some other tactic to avoid using those words. A chicks friends will beef this sort of guy in public and on forums like Nairaland and berate their friends for dating him but will secretly dream of screwing him. It even helps when the guy acts nice to the chicks friends, but not too nice (as in we are all age-mates level, respect must be maintained at all costs, chicks know how to disrespect a guy who plays with them too much). All men should strive to attain true control. True control will give you peace of mind and undying attention.

Be wise, my brothers be wise, enough of these tears on Nairaland. These days more men come here to complain than women. This is a war we have to win at all costs. For the sake of the male reputation. For more advice, I am here all week. Remember I have been beaten before but I am now wise, I exercise true control now and take no nonsense from them. If you let them bring you down they will finish you and your village people will say it is the work of juju and your uncles and aunties.

Generator explosion: 18-month-old baby loses hands, defaced ...Mum denies watching movie

Sola before and after
A woman’s alleged love for home video has led to the permanent deformity of her 18-month-old baby following a generator explosion in their home in Akure,  Ondo State. The baby,  Miss Oluwasola Fatejo,  lost her  two hands and pretty face in the incident that occurred while her mother, Mrs Mercy Fatejo was allegedly busy watching her favourite Yoruba soap inside the room.

It was gathered that the housewife was so engrossed in the movie that she did
not know when little Oluwasola walked away from the room to the kitchen where she picked a matchbox and moved to the corridor of their apartment in Oshinle area of the capital city. The little girl was said to have played with the generator that had been switched on during which she innocently struck a match causing a fire outbreak and the consequent explosion.

Sources told Sunday Sun that although the baby who was trapped in the fire cried  her  quite some time, her mother was oblivious of what had befallen her child and the raging fire in a section of their home.  Unfortunately, the neigbhours had left for their various outside engagements.  Help later came the baby’s way when a passerby who saw her struggling to escape from  the burning generator raised an alarm  that attracted her mother.

When the baby was eventually rescued, her face had been  disfigured  and her hands badly burnt in the explosion .  She was initially rushed to the Akure Specialist Hospital where she was referred to the Federal Medical Center (FMC),  Owo.  Checks by Sunday Sun revealed that doctors at the FMC later advised that she should be moved to the University College Hospital (UCH) for better medical attention.

The authorities of the hospital were said to have recommended the child for plastic surgery  on her face and hands,  one of which has been amputated.  The girl it was gathered Dependable sources told Sunday Sun that N18 million was needed to give the baby quality medical treatment.  Meanwhile,  the child’s mother,  Mrs Fatejo,  has denied  watching a movie while her baby  was trapped in the explosion.

“I was not watching movie.  I was in my room arranging her bed when I heard the sound of the explosion only to find her burning with the generator. I was helpless until our neighbours came to my rescue.  My husband, a civil servant, was not around but  he immediately rushed home when he was informed about the incident.

“We took her to the Federal Medical Centre, in Owo local government area for treatment but and she was referred to UCH, Ibadan.” Mrs. Fatejo confirmed that her baby’s left hand had been amputated and that medical doctors have demanded for N1.8 million for surgery.

We appeal to kind-hearted persons out there to come to Olusola's aid. Any support or donation from you will be highly appreciated. Thanks and God bless!

Jonathan Is Most Insulted Leader On Social Media –President's Aide Cries Out

Nigeria, the so-called giant of Africa, is one funny country where political office holders ignore real issues of the citizens welfare, economic development and good governance to chase shadow all in a bid to be in the President's good book.
How else can we explain the latest ranting of the woman in charge of social development?

The Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties and Social Development Matters, Mrs Sarah Pane said that Nigerians are using the social media negatively and that such is impacting negatively on the country’s image.

According to her, denigrating Nigerian leaders through the medium has become a pastime of the youths to the extent that the Nigerian President has become the most insulted in the world. "This is not the type of record we want. Let’s use the social media for positive interaction”, she stressed.

She was speaking at the Discovery Empowerment Programme for NYSC that took place on Wednesday at Alexis Hotel, Jabi, Abuja which had in attendance more than 200 members.

Unfortunately, it was observed that Mrs Sarah Pane couldn't tell the youths how the government that is paying the salaries and allowances of she and other political office holders with almost over 50% of the National Budget intends to kill corruption and bridge the widening disparity between those in government and millions of Nigerians outside government.

Evil Scam: Widow tricked out of £400,000 life savings by fraudsters who claimed 'they had £10m waiting for her in Hong Kong'

The 75-year-old widow, who has asked not to be named, was conned out of her entire £400,000 life savings
A vulnerable widow was conned out of her £400,000 life savings by fraudsters who told her she was about to receive a £10m inheritance payout.

The woman, 75, who asked not to be named, received a letter in March from the conmen claiming to be from a bank in Hong Kong.

They said they had a £10m inheritance payout waiting for her, but in order to release the money, she needed to transfer funds to a separate account.

The pensioner eventually handed over £400,000 of her life savings, investments and the inheritance from the death of her husband. [(Sad!)]
In the following months she
received more letters, faxes and phone calls from people pretending to be solicitors and bank managers, asking her to send more money to cover fictitious administration and tax costs.

At each stage, the woman from Darlington, County Durham, was assured one final payment was all that was needed to release the money.

But by the time police were alerted she had been conned out of her entire life savings.

Detective Constable Vikki Cooper said last night: 'She is embarrassed and upset, but hopes this will act as a warning for other people.

'We are making inquiries through our economic crime unit but, sadly, as this fraud originated overseas and had already taken place over several months before the police became involved, there is little realistic prospect of the money being recovered.

'People should on no account hand over any money or personal details if they receive a letter of this sort.
'It is a scam, pure and simple and there is no inheritance or any other kind of cash windfall.'

Don't be Tricked, people look out for the warning signs from these scam artist.
They include unsolicited messages asking for personal or banking details, or people asking for money up front to release a larger sum of cash.

Bad grammar and an odd use of language are also giveaways.
