If I recall well, the height of women protest in
Nigeria in recent times culminated in women
both old and young, baring their breasts in
protest but not pulling their pants down. But the
question is, how effective is this protest method?
Anyway, during a protest by the opposition
collective “Sauvons Le Togo” (“Let’s Save Togo”)
on August 28 in Togo’s capital Lome, several
female demonstrators spontaneously dropped
their trousers in front of police forces to provoke
them, to the great amusement of fellow
protesters, bystanders and journalists.
The day before, the collective had called on its
female members to join a week-long “sex strike”,
designed to motivate more men to join them in
their fight against President Faure Gnassingbé.
For the moment there is no way of knowing if
this appeal to “close their legs”, as local
journalists describe it, has been adhered to.
Another demonstration is planned for next
Thursday, where this time women have been
openly invited to undress.

Pictures: Togolese Women Drop Their Pants In Protest In Front Of Police
South African police are filmed shooting dead 34 miners... but prosecutors charge their 270 fellow strikers with murder under tainted Apartheid- era law Instead...
South African prosecutors have
sparked outrage after charging
270 miners with the murders of
34 of their striking colleagues
who were shot dead by police.
The mass killing of the strikers at
the
Marikana mine this month was
one of the most shocking
incidents since the end of white
rule in 1994.
And now the arrested miners
have been charged under a law
dating from the apartheid era
that alleges they had a 'common
purpose' in the murder of their
co-workers.
The African National Congress,
whose members used to be
gunned down by apartheid
police at protest rallies and
targeted with draconian laws,
has been severely criticised for
using similar tactics now that it
is in power.
President Jacob Zuma has seen
his support erode, with his
enemies saying he is more
interested in getting close to
industry and powerful labour
groups than miners working
deep underground.
Nigeria Jaga Jaga Song: Obasanjo Fights Eedris Abdulkareem Again
“Nigerians no longer believe in
themselves; neither do they
believe in their country. That
takes me back to that song ‘jaga
jaga’. How could a sane man
dare to call his country jaga jaga?
It is the height of blasphemy. We
are grooming our youths for
tomorrow’s leadership and with
such persons, I don’t think the
country can move forward.”
About 10 years after ebullient
rapper, Eedris Abdukareem,
released a song titled Nigeria
Jaga jaga, former President
Olusegun Obasanjo is still angry
with him.
While many people may largely
agree with the singer that the
country is truly upside down
based on the state of things,
Obasanjo has again described
the song as being blasphemous.
According to him producing
such a song shows that the
artiste does not believe in the
future of Nigeria.
The former president made the
remarks in Lagos on Tuesday
while speaking at a forum
organised by the Nigeria
Leadership Initiative. Obasanjo
said his passion is to see the
country excel.
Expressing his disdain for the
attitude of some Nigerians
youths, he said one of the worst
problems Nigeria is facing is
disbelief.
The former president has never
hesitated to express his
displeasure at Abdulkareem for
deriding Nigeria. The hit track of
the album released on Kennis
Music label was banned from
radio airplay by the president in
a televised address, although it
enjoyed continued play in
nightclubs.
Abdulkareem had also hit back at
Obasanjo in January during the
fuel subsidy protest. He said,
“The man wey say i dey craze
because I sing Nigeria Jaga Jaga
where him dey now inside this
hardship? Na 2002 I sing Nigeria
Jaga Jaga, na 2012 we dey so o.”
It would be recalled that
Obasanjo had hit back at the
artiste when the album was
freshly released, with some
people quoting him as saying it
was the singer’s father’s house
that was jagajaga.
Married woman dies while committing adultery in Lagos
A married man, Amaechi Uche Padmore, has
been arrested and charged to a Lagos court on
the allegation that his lover, Edith Nwokolo,
another man’s wife, died while he was having sex
with her.
Uche is now facing a murder charge at Ebute
Metta Magistrate’s court, Lagos over her death.
The lovers, who are both married, engaged in
sex romp at 94, Mushin Road, Mushin, Lagos,
Southwest Nigeria. It was gathered that while
Uche was on top of Edith, she started breathing
heavily, jerked and died. They were reported to
have dated each other before they got married to
different spouses.
Sources said immediately the incident happened,
Uche, who has three kids, abandoned his pant
and shoes and fled. Edith was found dead on top
of her bed and a neigbour who saw Uche with
her before she died, raised the alarm and the
matter was reported to the police at Olosan
Division.
He was arrested and arraigned on Wednesday for
murder before the presiding Magistrate, Mr. T.
Aborinwa under section 221 of the criminal code
law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2011.
Her death triggered controversy as the deceased
woman’s family insisted that Uche was
responsible. But the autopsy report presented at
the court showed that she died of heart related
problem. When the matter came up at the court,
Uche pleaded not guilty.
The presiding magistrate granted him bail since
the autopsy showed she died as a result of heart
problem.

Ibori vs Ribadu: Andy Uba, Achigbu lay claim to alleged $15m bribe
Senator Andy Uba and Chibuike
Achigbu, two principal players in
the $15 million dollars exchange
between Nuhu Ribadu and Chief
James Ibori have finally come
out to claim ownership of the
funds signaling a new twist to
the phoney bribery tale being
peddled by Mr. Ribadu, a
former Chairman of the EFCC.
Chibuike and Uba have
approached the same federal
high court sitting in Abuja to
claim ownership of the funds
just like the Delta State
Government, which maintained
that the funds were taken from
Delta treasury by convicted
former governor Chief James
Ibori.
The EFCC had gone to court to
obtain an order to confiscate the
funds, which Mr. Ribadu
wrongfully claimed was offered
as bribe to him by Chief Ibori to
stall his prosecution for
corruption.
THEWILL had repeatedly
reported that the funds handed
to Ribadu was not a bribe but a
political arrangement between
Ribadu, Ibori and Obasanjo.
The duo said the funds were
handed to Ribadu to finance the
2007 Presidential elections for
the candidate of the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP).
Details of the filing shortly.

“I Love to be Called a Nigerian” -White American Woman married to a Nigerian
A white American lady who was said to have
been rejected by parents because of her love for
Black men, especially a Nigerian man, who was
also having so much problem among her peers
for having a soft touch for Nigerians had the
following to say:
“I am a white American that married a Nigerian . I
grew up in Bauxite, Arkansas. I have lived in
Nigeria for the past 7 years with my husband. We
have two children together. We have been
married for 12 years now. My father has never
met my husband and has refused to accept my
children also.
When I had my first baby, a little girl that is now
12 years old. I called my father and said that I
wanted to come and see him for Christmas with
my baby. He said, “I don’t want any black people
in my home!” and hung up the phone!
I grew up in an all white school with only one
mixed girl in the school. I was treated horribly in
school because I dated a black boy that lived in
the next town at the age of 16. My father told me
that he would disown me and to this day, I have
never received a phone call from him.
I was called nigger lover in school and nobody
wanted to sit by me. I knew what it felt like to be
rejected. I was sent away to several different
homes for troubled children because my mother
did not want me to be with a black person. She
would lock the phone up in her room.
But, today I live in the blackest nation, Nigeria.
And today I am happy that I did not end up racist
like them or should I say ignorant.”

Sad: Man Shoots Dead Own Son fter Mistaking Him for a Monkey
In what can only be described as a sad story, a
farmer in southern Nepal shot dead his 12-year-
old son, after mistaking him for a monkey trying
to steal his crops.
The 12-year old boy, Chitra Bahadur Pulami, had
been climbing a tree to chase away Macaque
Monkeys that had become a nuisance to the
family but his father Gupta Bahadur, 55, spotted
the boy and opened fire, wrongly believing him
to be one of the animals.
According to Arun Poudel, deputy
superintendent of police in the remote
Arghakhanchi district, “The son was hiding in a
tree at their farm to chase away monkeys that
used to come searching for food in the maize
field… The son died on the spot after Gupta
Bahadur mistakenly thought there was a monkey
in the tree and opened fire. Our preliminary
investigation shows that the father was unaware
that his son had gone to the maize field to chase
the monkeys.”
The police superintendent continues, “Both
Gupta Bahadur and the gun that he used in
shooting his son are now under the custody of
the police.”
Meanwhile, the farmer, Gupta Bahadur was
quoted as saying “I realised my mistake only
when my son fell down and got stuck in one of
the tree’s branches.”
Olympic a a trial of in china
So many horrors as one goes through the
pictures of what happens in Nanning Gymnasium
in Nanning, China. This is said to be an incubator
for the making of champions that pick up gold
medals at the olympics like they pick up grains on
the farm.
It was said that parents take their kids to camps
like this to shape their children into world
champions. One would wonder if the parents see
the pains these kids go through and judge if it is
really worth it.
In one of the scenes one sees the instructor
standing on the child’s legs and in other cases
they had to painfully stretch obviously beyond
their limits. This are scenes that make one
wonder if it isn’t better to come back home
without any medal than force the kids to got
through so nightmares. Check out the pictures

“I Enjoyed It” – 11 Year Old Rape Victim Confesses To Police In Lagos
An 11-year old girl who was a victim of sexual
abuse (name withheld) stunned the police in
Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, when she
confessed that she enjoyed having sex with their
neighbour, Adams Oliyide, who allegedly defiled
her on many occasions. The victim told the police
that she did not tell anyone, including her
parents, because she enjoyed having sex with
the suspect. The victim, who opened up to the
police, when she was asked why she did not
report the sexual assault to her parents, said
whenever Oliyide invited her to his one room
apartment, she always sneaked in and allowed
him to have sex with her because she enjoyed it.
The incident happened in Iyana Ipaja Lagos State
Southwest Nigeria. The suspect from Ogun State,
Southwest Nigeria, used to sneak back home
from work in the afternoon when the parents of
the victim had gone to work to have carnal
knowledge of the victim. It was alleged that after
having sex with her, he would give her money to
buy food, sweets or biscuits and warned her not
to tell anybody. This went on for months until
they were caught by their neighbour who raised
an alarm and contacted the victim’s
parents. When the suspect was arrested, he was
taken to Oke Odo Police Division, where he
allegedly confessed that he had sex with the girl
on many occasions.
The victim also confessed to the police that the
20-year old suspect had sex with her on many
occasions but did not to tell her parents because
she loved him. But the police insisted that Oliyide
committed rape because the victim was an under
age.
He was therefore charged with rape at Ikeja
Magistrate’s Court sitting in Abule Egba under
Section 137 Of the Criminal Code Law of Lagos
State of Nigeria 2011. The suspect pleaded not
guilty to the charge and the presiding magistrate,
Mr. A.O. Komolafe, granted him bail in the sum
of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The court also ordered that one of the sureties
must be a blood relation and the sureties must
show evidence of payment of taxes.
The matter has been adjourned till 3 September,
2012.

Horror; Robber survives 20 bullets
Robber survives 20 bullets
Adedeji Ojo, who is in his early 30s, was a member of a four-man robbery gang that operated on
the
Ibadan/Akure Expressway and Osu/Ilesha Road in Osun State for months before their arrest recently.
Ojo lived in Lagos before joining the daredevil gang, which terrorised residents.
The bandits’ mode of operation involved littering the road with iron and nails. Any unsuspecting motorist that steps on them would have his tyres deflated. As the driver attempts to fix the tyres, the gang would emerge from their hideout usually in the bush and attack the victims. They often robbed and raped their victims.
The state’s Deputy Commissioner of Police, Baba Tijjani, said the command had received several complaints from vigilance groups in Osu, some kilometers to Ilesha that it was as a result of the gang’s seeming “invincibility” that the local security men sought for police reinforcement.
The suspect, who received 20 dane-gun bullets from the vigilance group, confessed that he belonged to the four-man gang. The combined team of policemen and the vigilance group laid an ambush for the robbers at a popular spot they attacked motorists.
Ojo said, “We are four members in our gang. We robbed and raped passengers along Ibadan/Akure Expressway. We came from Lagos State to rob passengers on the expressway.
“We robbed a 14-seater bus along Akure Expressway around 10.00pm. The victims were old women and ladies. We told them to lie down in the bush and robbed the old women and collected N43,000. My gang raped some ladies among them.
“After the operation, my own share was just N9,000. It was the gang leader, Uche, who promised me that after each robbery operation, I would be receiving N1million.
“That was why I followed them from Lagos State to Ibadan/Akure Expressway and robbed passengers.
“It was when we wanted to rob another bus that we used our car deliberately to hit a trailer lorry, which prompted some buses to stop. We started to rob passengers, we chased them into the bush. It was when we were coming out of the bush that we saw another 14-seater bus. We attempted to rob the passengers, but they opened fire on us. I received 20 bullets from dane guns and I called my other gang members on phone to rescue me.
“As they were coming, the local security men and the police again opened fire on them and one of them died, while two others escaped with bullet wounds.”
Asked whether his family knew he was a robber, he said: “I didn’t tell my wife that I am an armed robber. I lied to my wife that I wanted to go for night vigil. My wife always thought I was in the church at night.”
Investigation confirmed that during the exchange of fire between the gang and the combined team of vigilance group and police, one of the robbers was killed, two escaped with bullet wounds, while Ojo survived the gunshots.
The novelty in the operation of the gang was that the members also used their car to hit oncoming vehicles or trailers in the night and in the process they would rob the passengers. Usually, it was gathered that their targets were mainly women who usually go to sell their farm produce at the Owena Market, a boundary town between Osun and Ondo States, along the Ilesa/Akure Road.
The Osu community had complained several times over the activities of the gang as they usually robbed motorists between 9.00p.m and 10.00p.m daily. T
he police and vigilance group laid an ambush for the robbers at the usual operation time. A member of the vigilance group, Rasaki Lamidi, said the robbers had tormented the community for so long.
Lamidi said, “Our market women were robbed and raped whenever they ply Ibadan/Akure Road and we have lodged several complaints to the men of the Nigerian police in Osu.
“We received the message that they always come to the Akure Expressway. We reinforced and teamed up with the policemen from Osu Division. We used a public bus. When we got there, we pretended as if our bus had a fault and when they saw us, they wanted to rob us and we opened fire on them.
“What surprised us was that we shot one of the suspects with two rounds of dane gun bullets in his back but he didn’t die. We were able to kill one of the armed robbers and two escaped with bullet wounds.”
Lamidi said that they are currently enjoying peace in Osu community, noting that there are no hoodlums on the Akure/Ibadan Expressway again.
Daily Sun reporter visited Osu where the residents were all rejoicing, while some victims came out to identify the suspect.
The state Commissioner of Police, Mrs. Kalafiate Helen Adeyemi, confirmed the report.
Mrs. Adeyemi said she had received several complaints and petitions over the spate of robberies on the Ibadan/Akure and Osu/Ilesa roads. She ordered the policemen to join forces with the vigilance group on the expressway by patrolling the highway.
Adeyemi said that it was the combined effort of the group and the policemen from the Osu Police Division that led to the bursting of the gang.
Nigerian student, Olaolu Femi, facing life imprisonment in Ukraine
From African Outlook...
According to eye witness account, Sunkanmi was said to have managed to get up and defended himself against the assailants with a glass from a broken bottle.
"It was while he was defending himself that police arrived at the scene and the Nigerian was subsequently arrested and charged with attempted murder of five people" a Nigerian embassy staff who has knowledge of the case told African Outlook, adding that the victim thus became an accused in a case which has become a celebrated case in Ukraine.
African Outlook gathered that Olasunkanmi has since been remanded in detention by the Ukrainian police who refused to take the case to court citing unavailability of the police to get an interpreter for him.
But the Nigerian students' community in Ukraine under the leadership of Osarumen David-Izevbokun, a Phd student in international relations has been working tirelessly to ensure justice for the Nigerian by organizing protests as well as drawing the attentions of the human right groups in Ukraine to the plight of Olasunkanmi who has spent almost seven months in jail without trial.
David-Izevbokun told African Outlook that he alongside other Nigerian students in conjunctions with some members of the Ukrainian human right groups staged a protest on April, 9 outside the Leninsky District Court in Luhanski demanding the release of Olasunkanmi.
The actions, according to David-Izevbokun has put the Ukraine police on the spot as the case came up for hearing on May 3. "We had a lot of media coverage on the protest " David-Izevbokun said, noting that he was sure the attention given the case may have prompted the May 3 court appearance of the suspect.
David-Izevbokun who was at the May 3, court hearing told African Outlook that Olasunkanmi appeared depressed when he showed up in court.
Many other Nigerian students spoken to by African Outlook however raised concern about the competence of the female lawyer: Ludmila Havrysh handling Olasunkanmi's case.
The Ukrainian lawyer was reported to have told protesters that her client has not been able to read the file material since it is all written in Ukrainian or Russian which he doesn’t understand and that was why her client had remained in jail.
"We heard she wanted to be paid $10,000 when she had not even been able to secure bail for her client who has been in detention for more than six months" an irate Nigerian told African Outlook wondering whether the lawyer was capable of defending Olasunkanmi.
Another source also told African Outlook that one of the attackers's family who has a connection with the Ukrainian police may have been the reason why the Nigerian student was being detained without trial.
"They went to the hospital and documents were secured for infliction of wounds. I learnt that one of the supposed victim (Ukrainian) has a police relative or parent, and so vowed to deal ruthlessly with Olasunkanmi" a Nigerian student quoted one narrator as saying while lamenting that the Nigerian embassy's representative came to visit Olasunkanmi in jail once but did not return again after the first visit.
But an embassy spokesperson who pleaded anonymity (because he is not authorized to comment on the case) told African Outlook that the Nigerian consulate had not abandoned the Nigerian to his fate "We are in torch with the Ukrainian authority and we have been doing everything to ensure the boy is released unconditionally using diplomatic channel" he said, adding that the Olasunkanmi was being charged for attempted murder, an offense which under Ukrainian law is not bailable.
"There are ways in which we handle cases like this so that we would not appear to be hostile or criticizing our host countries' laws" the embassy staff said while assuring that he was confident Olasunkanmi would be released soon.
When asked if the embassy has been able to secure the service of an attorney for the Nigerian student, the embassy staff said: "It is not within our mandate to pay for attorney's fees for any Nigerian in distress, you may check this out with other Nigerian embassies abroad, but we have been working with the Nigerian community leaders here to ensure that we do everything within our means to help Olasunkanmi in time of his need" the staff added hinting that the representative of the embassy was at the May 3 hearing.
In a related development African Outlook gathered that a 28-year-old Nigerian student of Kharkiv National Radio Electronic University is in intensive care unit with knife injuries to his neck following an attack on him by people believed to be racists.
Another 19-year-old Nigerian student from the Poltava Agrarian Academy is also lying critically ill in the Ukrainian hospital following knife injury inflicted on him by yet to be identified persons.
African Outlook gathered that the two Nigerian students were attacked late in the evenings by assailants who fled the scene immediately after the attacks.
The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Ukraine are treating both cases as attempted murder motivated by racial intolerance.
Speaking on the two recent attacks, the Nigerian embassy said they were yet to be briefed on the case.

Drama: Man Impregnates Mother-In- Law, Says “She S e d u c e d Me With P o r n Films”
If Mr Tiamiyu Ibrahim, a 45-year-old mechanic,
had been part of the Nigerian contigent to the
just concluded London 2012 Olympics, he,
probably, would have won a medal for Nigeria.
The only snag is that his field of specialisation,
‘bedminton’ was not part of the sporting activities
listed for the tournament. IDOWU ADELUSI, in
this piece, reports the story of a man who put
his mother-in-law in a family way.
MRS Aminat Ibrahim’s story appears fictitious,
but it is not. The claim of the 40-year-old trader
that her husband is the father of a four-month-
old baby girl born by her mother leaves one
wondering whether Aminat knows the weight of
her claim or not.
Mrs Ibrahim said she was ashamed and rattled
by the development, adding that her
unrepentant mother had threatened to curse her
for exposing her misdeed.
Narrating how love affair developed between her
mother and the husband, Mrs Ibrahim said her
mother, who lived in a village at Apomu Area of
Osun State, had been visiting them regularly at
Oje Area of Ibadan where they (couple) lived.
She continued, “being my mother, I had no cause
to worry, moreso, when she told me that she was
assisting me spiritually to become pregnant.
“I wedded my husband five years ago without
issue. Sometime in February last year, my mother
came to visit us and said she would stay with us
for a while.
“I objected since I was not nursing a baby, but
she insisted and said was worried about our
childlessness and wanted to help us get over it.
When I told my husband he was glad about my
mother’s concern.
“Being a trader, I always leave home most times
at 6.00 a.m for neighbouring towns and villages
to buy yam tubers or vegetables and then bring
them to the market to sell. I always leave the
market at 7 p.m.
“My husband is a mechanic. He has his
workshop at a place not far from our house. This
enabled him to always come home in the
afternoon for lunch often prepared by my
mother.
“After a while, my husband would tell me jokingly
that my mother’s soup was delicious than the
soup I prepared.
“I did not suspect that anything was going on
between them. After all, I trusted my husband,
besides the woman in question is my mum and
not a friend.
“In December last year, I noticed that my
mother’s belly was protruding.When I demanded
to know if she was pregnant, she said yes. She
told me further that her man-friend in the village
impregnated her, adding that she used to go to
the village when everybody in the house had
gone out. Our father died long ago.
“I advised her to look for accommodation
elsewhere but she refused. After exerting much
pressure on her to leave our house, she
confessed that my husband impregnated her.
“I was dazed and almost passed out. She told me
that my husband ignited the love affairs.
According to the mother, whenever she (the
mother) was in the bathroom, the husband
would jump in to see her nakedness, pretending
to be unaware that she was in the bathroom.
Explaining further, the mother said, “each time
he came home for lunch, he would play p0 rn
ographic films, inviting me to join him in the
sitting room to watch it.
Mrs Ibrahim added, “According to my mum,
while the film was going on, my husband would
come to where she was sitting and grabbed her.
Even after she had freed herself from him and
run to stay in the kitchen, my husband would still
go to meet her and that was how he started
having sex with her.
“My mother told me that she agreed to his
demand since it was just to satisfy him and
protect my marriage. Moreso, she never thought
she could get pregnant again at 57 years.
“My mother explained further that my husband
stopped going to work on Saturdays in order to
stay with her at home. She told me that four
attempts were made to terminate the foetus
because she was ashamed but each attempt was
unsucceesful.
The woman revealed that when she confronted
her husband on the issue, the husband told her
to take it easy because she was still childless.
Her word: “My husband told me that it was my
mother who seduced him by always staying
naked in the room knowing that he could come
into the room anytime since they are living in a
room and palour apartment.
“He told me not to bother him much on the
matter since I don’t have any child for him.”
When asked if the “new couple” were still staying
together, she said no, explaining that they had
disappeared from the house and did not know
where they were.
However, this reporter and a staff of Succour
traced Mr Tiamiyu Ibrahim to a village in Ikire.
He blamed everything on satan, saying that he
never believed his mother-in-law could become
pregnant for him.
His words, “Iya yen lo fa mi mora, to ni ki nma ba
a oun tage. Emi ko mo pe o lee j’asi oyun, mo ro
wipe iya ti koja eni to tun le ni oyun ni.”
(It was my mother-in-law who seduced me, I
never knew she could become pregnant again,
but thought she had reached her menopause.)
The wife said she was disappointed by her
husband’s behaviour, saying, “if he had told me
he needed a second wife, I would not refuse
him. Why should he be having love affairs with
my own mother?” she asked.
Sunday Tribune gathered that the mother-in-law,
who later gave birth to a baby girl, brought the
baby to Ibadan a month ago.
She was said to have been reviled by neighbours
for bringing shame on her daughter and
destroying her home.
The mother-in-law could not be reached as
everybody contacted said her whereabouts were
unknown.

Alleged man-eater, Clifford Orji, dies in prison after 13 years without trial
It has been confirmed that the alleged cannibal,
Clifford Orji, is dead. Orji has been detained in
Kirikiri prisons for the past thirteen years without
going on trial for his alleged crime.
The acting Public Relations Officer, Lagos State
Prison Command, Mr. Biyi Jeje, confirmed Orji’s
death saying , “As at Thursday Orji was fine, but
on Friday morning he died in his sleep. The cause
of his death is still unknown but an autopsy is
being performed.”
Recent reports have revealed that the alleged
man-eater’s health had progressively
deteriorated and his mental state was also
questioned.
While speaking on Orji’s failing health a few
months ago, the Deputy Comptroller of the
prison, Mr. Noel Ailewon, said Orji was in a bad
state.
“Orji’s health is getting worse. He has gone
completely mad, vomiting and even defecating
without restraint and is naked most of the time,”
he said.
A director in the Office of the Public Defender,
Mrs. Omotola Rotimi, said Orji’s case is a pathetic
one because they have tried but could not find
proper medical attention for him.
“Initially, we took Orji to Psychiatric Hospital,
Yaba, but was rejected because they claimed they
did not have long-term medical facilities.
Subsequently, he was taken to another hospital
in Ewekoro but was similarly rejected,” she said.
Orji, was arrested 13 years ago under the bridge
at Toyota bus-stop, along the Apapa-Oshodi
expressway. He was found with roasted human
flesh and bones, a cellphone, female underwear,
and a cheque of N88,000.
He was subsequently charged before an Ebute-
Meta Magistrate’s Court, on February 19, 1999
but have not gone on trial till his death on Friday
aged 46.

OMG! Man Cheats Death By Surviving 6ft Pole That Pierced Through His Head
This is the type of story you hear and just open
your mouth in disbelief but Eduardo Leite, a 24-
year old construction worker from Brazil is lucky
to be alive after he survived a 6-foot metal bar
that fell from above and pierced his head. The
bar had fell from the fifth floor of a building
under construction, went through Leite’s hard
hat, entered the back of his skull and exited
between his eyes, chief os staff at Rio de Janeiro’s
Miguel Couto Hospital, Luiz Alexnadre Essinger
said, adding: ‘It really was a miracle’ that Leite
survived. The accident and surgery took place on
Wednesday.
Doctors successfully withdrew the iron bar from
Eduardo Leite’s skull during a five-hour surgery.
‘He was taken to the operating room, his skull
was opened, they examined the brain and the
surgeon decided to pull the metal bar out from
the front in the same direction it entered the
brain.’ Essinger said. He said Leite was conscious
when he arrived at the hospital and told him
what had happened and that Leite was lucid and
showed no negative consequences after the
operation. ‘Today, he continues well, with few
complaints for a five-hour-long surgery,’ Essinger
said. ‘He says he feels little pain.’
‘They told me he was lying down (in the
ambulance) with the bar pointing upward,’ said
Leite’s wife, Lilian Regina da Silva Costa.
Continuing, she said, ‘He was holding it and his
face covered in blood. His look was as if nothing
had happened. When he arrived he told the
doctors he wasn’t feeling anything, no pain,
nothing. It’s unbelievable.’
Ruy Monteiro, the hospital’s head of
neurosurgery, told the Globo TV network that
Leite escaped by just a few centimeters from
losing one eye and becoming paralyzed on the
left side of his body. He said the bar entered a
‘non-eloquent’ area of the brain, an area that
doesn’t have a specific, major known function.
Leite is expected to remain hospitalized for at
least two weeks.

Abomination! Lagos Pastor Impregnates His Own Daughter
The pastor who is in charge of a new generation church in Egan, a Lagos suburb, has been arrested by the police for impregnating his 15-year-old daughter, not once but two times.
They were all living in the same apartment at 33, Pastor Olusola Street, Agric, Egan, Lagos.
Residents of the area said the Pastor Emmanuel's nine children were not allowed to go to school or socialise with their neighbours and when he wanted to go out, he locked them inside his two-bedroom flat.
His arrest was made possible by a sting operation by two non-governmental organizations in collaboration with the Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, WAPA, Alausa, Ikeja.
His wife was said to have died during labour in 2010 after giving birth to nine children. According to reports, while in labour to deliver the 10th child, the Pastor Emmanuel had no money to take her to hospital and he asked her to deliver in their house and in the process, she died.
It was after she died that Pastor Emmanuel started sleeping with his first daughter and the act resulted in pregnancy. She delivered a baby for her father in 2011. While nursing the baby, the pastor impregnated her again and she delivered the second baby recently.
The scandal was exposed during a burial ceremony Pastor Emmanuel was to be the officiating pastor. Some residents in the area opposed him and told those present that he had impregnated his own daughter two times.
Pastor Emmanuel was charged to Ikeja High Court recently and he was subsequently remamded in prison custody. A source said the Welfare Department of WAPA has taken custody of all his children.
